Evangelism
Team Chair: Pam Lesser
We take seriously John's words; "he who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself" (I John 5:10). We look for new and exciting ways to bring testimony to a dark and dying world. The evangelism team is made up of those among us with the gifts of hospitality and a desire to share the gospel.
Teams of greeters and ushers who serve weekly at worship services. Also special outreach events are planned such as the Annual Street Fair. There are ongoing efforts such as the Welcome Wagon Team to visit community newcomers and home small groups designed to take Jesus Christ and the freedom of His message outside the church and into the community.
We are intentional as we invite children and adults of the community to planned programs and events in the church. We support community service organizations by access to our church facilities. Examples of such are After School Club, Scouts and Weight Watchers.
A fall "Commitment Sunday" is held each year where we focus on our own decision for Christ, and reaffirm our commitment to being disciples that share the good news.
